Coding interview platforms use various detection methods to prevent cheating. Below we show how they try to detect tools like Interview Ninja and how we neutralize each of these methods.
Interview Ninja has never been detected in real tests on any platform.
Detection Methods and Our Countermeasures
Screen Sharing Detection
Interviewers ask you to share your screen in Zoom, Google Meet, HackerRank, or Coderpad.
The app is invisible to screen sharing software and screenshots.
Solution Explanation Check
Interviewers ask you to explain your solution, not just show the code.
Each code snippet comes with comments and brief reasoning that naturally explains the solution.
Webcam Monitoring
Platforms track eye movements and suspicious distractions from the screen.
Use Ctrl + arrows to move the solution window over your work area without diverting your gaze from the code.
Active Tab Monitoring
Platforms check cursor activity and tab switching.
When toggling visibility with Ctrl + B, the cursor remains active and the tab doesn't change.
Cancellation Policy
You can cancel your subscription at any time. After cancellation:
- The subscription will remain active until the end of the current paid period.
- You will not be charged for the next period.
- No partial refund is provided for unused time in the current period.
- You retain access to the service until the end of the paid period.
To cancel your subscription, go to the "Settings" section.

Refund Policy
We offer a 24-hour refund policy. Refunds are available only under the following conditions:
- The software does not work on your platform and we are unable to resolve the issue.
- The request is made within 24 hours of the purchase.
- Video evidence demonstrating the problem with the software is provided.
For refunds after 24 hours, please contact our support team at help@interviewapp.com and we will consider your request on a case-by-case basis.
